Did you know when you smile you are throwing a party in your brain? This activity activates the release of neuropeptides which fights off stress. It also relaxes the body which can lower your heart rate and blood pressure. Studies have shown that those who smile are treated differently than those who do not. People who have a smile are thought of as attractive, sincere, reliable, and relaxed.
Here are just 10 of the millions of things that make me smile…
Swinging on a swing set.
Hearing someone speak Italian.
Eating coffee & donuts.
Sitting by a fire.
Playing with my puppy.
Coming home after a long day.
Hanging out with a friend.
When all my children are home for dinner.
Whenever I see a convertible Alfa Romero on the road.
Last but not least, Handsome. From that silly moment I caught him looking at me, I have not stopped smiling.
So next time you are out and about smile at the strangers you walk by, it just might make their day. You just never know what the power of a happy face can do to another person.
