Did you know when you smile you are throwing a party in your brain?  Smiling activates the release of neuropeptides which fights off stress. It also relaxes the body which can lower your heart rate and blood pressure.  Studies have shown that those who smile are treated differently than those who do not.  People who smile are thought of as attractive, sincere, reliable, and relaxed.

Smiling is contagious.

Here are just 5 of the millions of things that make me smile…

  1. Swinging on a swing set.

  2. Hearing someone speak Italian.

  3. Having coffee & donuts.

  4. Sitting by a fire.

  5. Last but not least, Handsome.  From that silly moment I caught him looking at me, I have not stopped smiling.

 

So next time you are out and about smile at the strangers you walk by, it just might make their day.

Smile! It does a body good.

It will make your day brighter and your brain will throw a party!
